I cant help draw a comparison of the financial editorials to the kids in the back seat of a long journey. Is it over yet? Are we there yet? Are we in the clear? Is the bad part over? Daddy, how much longer?
I've been listening to this rhetoric for the last year and a half and the tune hasn't changed. The "kid's" threshold for pain is non-existent and the expectations are for this to pass quickly. Never have seen such blind optimism in the face of such disparity.
This is indicative of the current cycle. We are at the peak of more, more, more, and we can't stand to think that this could be at the beginning of an extremely painful journey of less, less, less.
When will this be over? This will be over when people stop asking "Is this over?."
